Acupuncture and herbal medicine are two of the fundamental practices of traditional Chinese medicine, both are offered at Smith Integrative Oncology.  Chemotherapy can produce a variety of side effects, which also vary greatly individual to individual.  My goal is to help provide you with some relief and increase your sense of well being using either acupuncture or herbal medicine.

Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine can help stimulate the body’s natural healing process, restore balance and support your immune system.
Centuries of practice have shown that acupuncture and herbal medicine can help alleviate both simple and more complex health issues.   Either together or alone, these treatments can help manage many common symptoms of cancer and cancer treatments, including: pain, fatigue, insomnia, digestive disorders, weight gain or loss, anxiety and hot flashes.  They can also help stimulate the body’s natural healing process, restore balance and support your immune system.   Our first session will begin with an in-depth discussion of your medical history and a comprehensive physical exam that includes channel palpation as well as pulse and tongue diagnosis.  As we work together to determine what traditional Chinese medicine treatments are best and most comfortable for you, I will remain in constant coordination with Garrett to ensure all decisions complement your primary cancer care and individual health issues.
